Bullseye gong 40", w/ mallet and iron stand This gong is traditionally chines instrument.Made of many kinds of metal heated and hand hammered and stretched to it's specific size and shape for certain soundquality. Then ,put on an old simple lathe for leveling and hand hammered again. The black circle and center are made by certain chemical-therefore never is it perfect in color nor sharp lines.Traditionally called Chao gong and we call it-"Bullseye gong" for obvious reasons...When struck on the edges of center circle-will create very deep, earthy, relaxing sound. When strike on the brass color area-will have more high notes and "fire".This is a serious musical quality gong ,used in orchestras, recordings, sound tracks, live music, therapy, meditation, feng shui, looks beautiful in hotel lobby ,Yoga centers,in the home and in the garden...Minimalistic design standthat requires very small foot print ,and allows the gong to "shine".The "coldness" of the metal is mellowed out by the "warmth" of the hand forged curls, smooth linescurves.Slender enough to "bounce" with the vibration of the gongs and expresses the sound through motion. The stand is our design ,hand made of "heavy" iron, 24" diam base, 3" x 3/8" x 61" pole.Comes in 2 separate pieces for easy shipping,to be simply assembled with 2 bolts.included.SALE

I have recently put feng shui decor in my home in order for our home to lose the stressful feel and gain the relaxed environment. I love the decor and am considering getting the gong for my porch. Thank you for the blog about the gong, it was very informative.
